First lady Janja Lula da Silva christened the Embraer plane delivered to Azul this Friday (April 26, 2024). In addition to Janja, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) and Vice President and Minister of Industry and Commerce, Geraldo Alckmin (PSB), also participated in the moment.
The act was done with a bottle of sparkling wine. Unlike the christening of the Navy submarine Tonelero in March, also carried out by Janja, the bottle was not broken. The liquid was thrown onto the plane. Afterwards, the first lady made a sign of the cross.
The event was held at the Embraer factory in São José dos Campos (SP).
