“Luck”. The word defines what happened to Cuban Rafael Luís Glaze Benitez, 38 years old, who works as an app driver, on Saturday night (4/5), in Bairro Jardim Felicidade, in the North Region of BH. It was a succession of events: first, a robbery announcement; then, a rollover; Finally, another assault and aggression. Despite all this, he is doing well.
Around 10pm, the driver went to respond to a call, in the Guanabara neighborhood, also in the North Region. As he approached the address, he was surprised by two motorcyclists, who pointed weapons and announced a robbery.
The Cuban decided to flee, and a chase began. Suddenly, shots are fired at his car. Luckily, none of them hit him. Upon arriving at Bairro Jardim Felicidade, he entered a dead end street. There were many armed people there. It was a “smoking hole”.
And in another attempt to escape, the car overturned and ended up on the edge of a stream, near Avenida Fazenda Velha. The driver was unharmed and managed to get out of the car, with the help of a man, WGS, also 38 years old.

For the Cuban, it seemed like the end of great suffering. However, he was mistaken. The man who helped him asked if he was okay. He responded affirmatively, but, to his surprise, the person who helped him started attacking him and took his cell phone.
At that moment, the attacker ordered him to run away. “Leave”, W. would have said, according to the Cuban, who ran into a thicket for around 2 km, until he came out onto a street and asked for help. The doorman of a building called the Military Police (PM).

A police vehicle, commanded by Sergeant Silva, was sent to the scene. Along with the Cuban, police officers returned to where he had been attacked and robbed. When they arrived, they saw a man near the overturned car. It was W., the attacker, who was arrested.
For the Cuban, it was the end of martyrdom. He recognized the attacker and also his cell phone, which was with W..
