Madonna’s show will last 2 hours and will have sound towers behind the stage; audience estimate rises to 1.5 million | Madonna in Rio

Madonna’s show at Copacabana Beach on May 4th will last 2 hoursand whoever wants to avoid the crowd you can hear the performance behind the stageas there will be sound towers on both sides of the stage.

The City of Rio de Janeiro and the government of RJ gave details, this Thursday (25), of the operational plan for the event. The public forecast has increased, and authorities hope 1.5 million people.

There will be DJs playing from 7pm. At 8pm, DJ Diplo takes over. Madonna will take the stage at 9:45 pm. The show must end at 11:45 pm.

The scheme will be very similar to the one adopted every year on New Year’s Eve.

• As of the previous Thursday (2), parking will be prohibited on almost all roads in Copacabana.
• On Saturday (4), the track next to the sand of Avenida Atlântica will be closed at dawn, as is the case for leisure areas on Sundays and holidays.
• At 11am, the track next to the buildings will also be closed.
• From 6pm onwards, only taxis and buses will be allowed into the neighbourhood.
• At 7:30 pm, the entire neighborhood will be closed to traffic.
• At 4am, access will reopen.

The other stations of the metro system will operate normally, from 5 am to midnight, and after the usual closing time, they will only be open for public disembarkation.

There are at least 200 people on the team, who will occupy 90 rooms at the Copacabana Palace hotel, one of the most luxurious in Rio.

At the hotel, 5 rooms are reserved for rehearsals.

The presentation features 80 tons of equipment that is transported in 3 cargo planes and 30 trucks.
