All about Samsung
The main innovation of the next One UI update – One UI 6.1.1 – will be “video AI”. At least, that’s what the user nicknamed Ice Universe, known for providing information related to Samsung devices and systems, claims (or rather, says in the air).
For those in a hurry:
- The main innovation of Samsung’s next interface update, One UI 6.1.1, will be “video AI”, according to information leaked by user Ice Universe. However, the leaker just threw the term into the air, without explaining it or providing more details about it;
- While specific details have not been revealed, it is speculated that “video AI” could involve a generative video editing tool or features that enhance video recording, possibly in line with the ongoing partnership between Samsung and Google to create new AI-powered experiences for Android and Galaxy devices.
- Currently, Samsung offers features such as Generative Edit, which allows you to adjust or remove objects in images, and Instant Slow-Mo, which transforms ordinary videos into slow motion using AI to generate frames. New “video AI” could expand these capabilities, perhaps enabling more complex edits to videos;
- The official reveal of the “Video AI” feature and One UI 6.1.1 could take place at the next Galaxy Unpacked event, scheduled for July 10. This event has traditionally been used by Samsung to announce significant innovations. It is also likely that the new functionality will be made available for previous models.

Currently, Samsung already offers AI features such as Generative Edit (“Generative Editing”, in free translation), which allows you to adjust, remove or reposition objects in images, and Instant Slow-Mo (“Instant Slow Motion”), which puts ordinary videos in slow motion using AI to generate frames.
Galaxy AI for videos?
The new “Video AI” feature could expand these capabilities, perhaps enabling retroactive edits to video composition or introducing a full text-to-video generation tool, similar to OpenAI’s Sora.
The official reveal of this feature could take place at the next Galaxy Unpacked event, scheduled for July 10, as recent leaks suggest. This event has traditionally been the stage for Samsung to announce significant innovations. And it wouldn’t be surprising to see the introduction of One UI 6.1.1 along with other new features for the Galaxy line.
It is likely that “video AI” will also be made available for previous models, as happened with the Galaxy S23, which received the AI features of the Galaxy S24 line just two months after launch.
