At just 22 years old, Iasmin Lucindo She is young, but already has the calmness of a veteran inside the cage. In action in UFC Rioheld last Saturday (4), the young Brazilian athlete performed confidently and, after three rounds of combat, defeated the experienced Karolina Kowalkiewicz in the unanimous decision of the jurors

With her good result on the UFC Rio preliminary card, the Ceará native scored her third consecutive victory in Ultimate and, in this way, became part of the Ultimate rankings in the strawweight category, occupying 13th place. With morale within the organization, Iasmin Lucindo preaches caution regarding the next steps, but at the same time, makes it clear that she wants to go further.

Speaking to journalists after her triumph at UFC Rio, Iasmin highlighted her humble origins and said that, from a young age, she dreamed of being part of the Ultimate squad. Now, with his feet on the ground, Lucindo wants to continue conquering his space to, in the future, reach a title fight in the strawweight division, which has Chinese Weili Zhang as the current champion.

“It just shows my personality. I’m a person with a strong personality, so what I want, I go after. My age has never interfered with what I want. I came from a favela in Fortaleza and look where I am, in the biggest MMA event in the world, which is the UFC. My work brought me to the rankings, so it will take me to the title fight too”, said the Brazilian, who continued:

“I’m in no rush, ready to enjoy the moment and the walk. At 14 years old, I said I would be at the biggest event in the world, and look where I am at 22 years old. Now I say: I will be the category champion. I don’t know when, but you can wait until I’m here to stay”, she concluded.

Iasmin Lucindo, at just 22 years old, already has 16 wins – eight of them by knockout – and five defeats in her professional MMA record. For the UFC, where she has been active since 2022, the Brazilian has four duels, with three victories (over Karolina Kowalkiewicz, Polyana Viana and Brogan Walker) and just one setback, against Yazmin Jauregui.
