One of the most promising Brazilian drivers in the basic categories of Formula 1, Pedro Clerot debuts this weekend in FRECA, the European Regional Formula. The championship holds the first of ten double rounds of the 2024 season at the Hockenheim circuit, and the Van Amersfoort driver has good expectations for the championship’s passage through the traditional German circuit.

Clerot was one of the highlights of the FRECA pre-season tests. Three sessions were held in Barcelona, Spain, Paul Ricard, France, and Hockenheim, this past week.
Always among the fastest, the first champion in the history of F4 Brazil also praised his good relationship with Van Amersfoort, and is confident for this weekend’s double round.

“It has been very positive. We led one day in Barcelona, and in Paul Ricard, we were always in the top-5. In Hockenheim, I was second on the first day, and inside the top-5 on the second day. The tests were really very positive. I have high expectations, as we did a great job in the pre-season, taking a step forward compared to last year. I am confident and prepared”, said Clerot, who is sponsored by Banco BRB.

The schedule for the opening stage of FRECA will begin on Friday, when free practice will take place. Saturday will feature qualifying and the first race of the weekend, while Sunday will have a new definition of starting positions and the race that closes the passage through Hockenheim. The category’s YouTube channel shows both events live.
