The doors of one of the most famous art museums in the world, the Louvre, were opened for Parisians to do something different. Instead of enjoying works of art, such as Da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa”, they did physical exercises. The activity is part of France’s preparation for the Paris Olympics, which will take place in July.

The action is called “Run in the Louvre”, in which participants do 10-minute sessions of running, stretching, Yoga, among other physical activities. They had the chance, for example, to learn a Jamaican dance, dancehall.

The project is part of the Cultural Olympics program, developed by the organizers of the Paris Olympic Games. The idea is to try to build a relationship with physical activities and the cultural world of the city.

In total, there will be 16 sessions of “Run in the Louvre” organized by French choreographer Mehdi Kerkouche. The activities have up to 30 participants and take place before opening to the general public. They will take place until May 31st.
