Government provides interactive map that shows roadblocks in RS in real time

The State government has made available an interactive map that allows real-time monitoring of the situation of federal and state highways that are blocked due to heavy rains that caused damage in several regions of Rio Grande do Sul.

The map showing thes blockages and changes in highway traffic It is updated by the Military Brigade Highway Command, Federal Highway Police, Autonomous Department of Highways and Empresa Gaúcha de Rodovias.

“This map is essential for Gauchos to know the real-time situation of the highways. Our teams are working to clear the roads as quickly as possible, safely”, highlighted the Secretary of Logistics and Transport, Juvir Costella .

The data is being updated together with Waze and Google, in order to integrate the platforms and assist rescue vehicles in searching for people in emergency situations.

Due to the risks to users, the guidance at this time is that highways are only used in cases of necessity.
