Registration began this Wednesday (24) for exhibitors interested in participating in the 38th Paraibano Crafts Show, promoted by Sebrae/PB and the State Government.

The event will take place in Campina Grande, between the 7th and 30th of June, providing great visibility for the state’s artisans during the period of O Maior São João do Mundo.

According to the notice released by the state administration, which is available at https://pap.pb.gov.br/38o-salao-do-artesanato-paraibano, the 38th edition of the event will provide 350 vacancies for artisans, 50 vacancies for the sale of creative products, 40 vacancies for regional gastronomy producers and another six vacancies for entrepreneurs in the snack bar segment. Registration must be completed by May 5th.

Just as happened in 2023, the June Crafts Show will be held in the Catolé neighborhood, in a privileged area at the entrance to the city, on Avenida Prefeito Severino Bezerra Cabral.

The theme of this 38th edition will be “The Art of Living by Faith, Paraíba of All Saints and Charms”, paying homage to the tradition of artisans who work with the making of saints and religious images.

As Sebrae/PB technical analyst Jucieux Palmeira highlights, the event, which is already consolidated in the state, and with national visibility, is a great showcase for Paraíba’s crafts, valuing not only its historical and cultural tradition, but also generating income and economic development.

“Crafts are understood as a form of artistic expression and artisans carry out this entire process of building culture and its particularities. Furthermore, there are also social issues and the importance of this work for the economy that the state drives through the specialties of each artisan”, commented the analyst.

Also according to Jucieux Palmeira, “the Craft Salon comes to enhance this entire commercialization aspect, in addition to promoting the culture of crafts, which seeks its origins and values all the tradition it carries. This is precisely the contribution that Sebrae and the State Government offer through the event, seeking to value the work of each artisan”, added Palmeira.

In turn, the manager of the Paraibano Crafts Program (PAP), Marielza Rodriguez, emphasized that “once again the State Government and Sebrae, together, will create a salon with the quality and beauty that our artisans deserve”.
