Silvana Freire, announced by TV Aratu in April 2023 as a new reinforcement of the broadcaster’s journalism, was dismissed a few days after completing one year by TV do Galinho.
The information was confirmed to Bahia Notícias by sources within the TV this Thursday (28). Behind-the-scenes information shows that the change also includes Marcelo Castro going to the station to take over Casemiro Neto’s time slot, while the veteran moves to the time slot left by Silvana.
Freire, who had left TV Bahia in 2018, spent time as a correspondent for CNN Brasil in Salvador. Her stay at the channel lasted until 2023, when she returned to TV Aratu after 12 years since her debut on the network.

The journalist was hired to lead the program ‘Bom Dia Bahia’, a new feature on Aratu’s schedule, a Monday to Friday newspaper, with the aim of being dynamic and with topics focused on Salvador, the metropolitan region (RMS) and the interior of the state.
At the beginning of the month, Aratu announced new features in its programming, including the debut of the program Aratu Agora, presented by Murilo Vilas Boas, at 6:30 pm.
The schedule also includes SBT’s national programs, with the arrival of SBT Podnight, Chega Mais, It’s all ours, Circo do Tiru, Tá na Hora, Sabadou and Eita Lucas.
