The Corinthians board went back and decided to reinstate Beto, William and Kaio Henrique to the Under-20 squad. O My Timon confirmed the information given first-hand by Itatiaia.
The black and white leadership, led by Claudinei Alves, assessed that the punishment had been very serious for the case. Other Timãozinho athletes had also been left with the impression that the managers were exaggerating, mainly because the trio was considered “calm” in the CT’s day-to-day activities.
Earlier, the portal had stated that the reason for the absence was that the trio had been caught outside their respective rooms during the concentration to get food ordered via the app outside the hours allowed by the delegation. The case occurred after the game against Ceará, for the Brazilian Championship, last Thursday.
Even though reinstated, none of the three players were listed for the game against Juventus, at Paulista, this Saturday, at 3pm. For the left side, Danilo chose to call on Denner, from U17, and Caio Garcez; Rafa Venâncio and Renato for the defense; Gui Negão and Laércio to act as center forwards.
It is worth remembering that the trio are considered starters by the U20 technical committee and regularly start clashes between the starters. Against Ceará, for example, Kaio was selected among the 11, while Beto and William did not leave the bench.
In contact with the report My Timonthe club confirmed via advisor the reinstatement of the squad following the group’s re-presentation.
“The case of athletes Beto, Kaio Henrique and Willian was reevaluated by the board of the Corinthians Athlete Training Department and the players were reinstated to the under-20 squad. They will not participate in today’s match, against Juventus, for Paulista da category, but will return to activities with the group in the re-presentation”, explained the club.
