“Baby Reindeer” dives into the life of aspiring comedian Donny Dunn (played by Richard Gadd), who desperately seeks his big break on stage while working as a bartender in London. Everything seems ordinary until Martha (played by Jessica Gunning) enters the scene, triggering a disturbing relationship. But what is truth and what is fiction in this plot? Although the beginning of each episode presents itself as inspired by real events, Gadd admitted that the story is not an accurate portrayal of what happened to him, but of his experiences and those of people he met, shaped into the series’ narrative.

During the four years of persecution, Gadd received a flood of messages: 41,071 emails, 350 hours of voicemails, 744 tweets, 46 messages on Facebook, 106 pages of letters and countless gifts.
With seven episodes full of suspense, “Bebê Rena” premiered on Netflix on April 11 and quickly won over the audience, becoming the most watched series. Additionally, it received critical acclaim, with an impressive 97% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
