Students from state universities in Bahia You have until May 8th to sign up for the Mais Futuro Programwhich seeks to promote the retention of students from families in vulnerable situations. To register, students must access the program website by the deadline.
With an investment of more than R$53.5 million from the State Government in 2024, the program offers three types of aid: R$300 for those who live close to the university, R$600 for those who live more than 100 km from the campus and complementary aid for beneficiaries of other programs.
O Mais Futuro is aimed at students in socioeconomic vulnerability, enrolled in in-person undergraduate courses in state public universities, without a history of completing another higher education course.
The requirements include a monthly family income not exceeding half the minimum wagea family income monthly total of up to three minimum wagesin addition to not have an employment relationship.
A final list of those approved will be published on June 7, 2024, according to the schedule established in the notice, available on the Education Portal. The aid is granted for eight months for students in the Basic Profile and for 12 months for those in the Housing Profile.
In exceptional situations, it can be increased for up to four months for Basic Profile students, upon proof of a threat to their permanence at the university.
