A 26-year-old man was arrested in Xambioá, in the north of the state, after filling up at a gas station, leaving without paying and trying to leave the city. He was caught with a stolen car and arrested red-handed.

His name was not disclosed, so the g1 did not get contact from the defense.

The arrest took place late in the afternoon on Tuesday (7), around 5:45 pm. The station employee told the Military Police (PM) that in the early hours of Sunday (5), the suspect asked to fill up R$100 in the vehicle he was driving. He tried to pay by card but was refused.

He then told the employee that he would pay the amount as soon as he arrived at the place where he works. But after he was released, he never made the payment or was seen.

With information about the man’s characteristics and the help of a plainclothes soldier, the suspect was found at Porto das Voadeiras, on the riverbank. The car had a theft/theft restriction and that’s why he ended up being arrested and taken to a police station in Araguaína.

The police also discovered that the same man who did not pay for the fuel stole the vehicle on April 25 of this year, in Araguaína. Because of the crimes, he was charged with theft and embezzlement.
