Real Madrid once again prevailed in its tradition in the UEFA Champions League. Carlo Ancelotti’s team beat Bayern Munich 2-1 this Wednesday (8) and will compete in another final of the European competition.

The goals came in the second half at the Santiago Bernabéu, with Alphonso Davies opening the scoring for the Bavarian club. But center forward Joselu, who had entered minutes before, scored the two goals that declared the Merengues’ classification.

In his column at UOL, Milton Neves praised the European Champions League. “What a delight it is to watch the Champions League. It’s more or less like having a World Cup every season,” he compared.

The journalist considered the clash between Real Madrid and Bayern a ‘cinematic’ game. In his view, the Germans came to the Santiago Bernabéu with the intention of reintroducing themselves.

Milton Neves highlighted the performances of Vinícius Júnior and Neuer, but who ended up missing the home team’s first goal, after making great saves throughout the match.

“The German archer of an Oliver Kahn and dropped the ball at the feet of the unlikely hero Joselu”, summarized Milton Neves, remembering the famous move from the 2002 World Cup final that resulted in Ronaldo’s first goal in the fifth world championship game.

Finally, Milton Neves joked about the Libertadores match that will be played shortly at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), after the memorable decision at the Santiago Bernabéu.

“What a spectacle, guys! And now the question is: who will be excited to watch Cobresal and São Paulo tonight?”, mocked the presenter.

In the decision at Wembley on June 1st, Real Madrid will be able to win their 15th Champions League title against Borussia Dortmund, who yesterday (7) eliminated Paris Saint-Germain in the other semi-final.
