The meeting was attended by representatives from the State Public Ministry, the State Department of Traffic of Alagoas, the Highway Police Battalion, the Military Police of Alagoas, Dismoto Honda, the Municipal Transport and Traffic Superintendency of Arapiraca and Sest Senat from Arapiraca. Throughout the month of May, several educational activities, inspection activities and lectures are scheduled.
The Agreste Emergency Hospital, through the Preparing to Return Home program, will hold lectures with traffic specialists aimed at family members of accident victims. In addition, other activities involving the Humanization Working Group and Brinquedoteca Alegre e Brinque are also planned.
The Integrated Network for Peace in Traffic was created in December 2023 with the aim of raising awareness among the population of Arapiraca about traffic safety. Prosecutor Rogério Paranhos, creator of the initiative, highlighted the importance of integrated work between entities to promote safer and more peaceful traffic.
With the expectation of reducing the number of accident victims, the entities’ actions during Yellow May have the potential to positively impact the work of professionals at the Agreste Emergency Hospital. The institution’s medical director, Vanderly Oliveira, highlighted the relevance of awareness and accident prevention work to preserve lives in traffic.
