A 54-year-old man was arrested this Tuesday (23) for failing to comply with a protective measure against his three elderly sisters, all over the age of 60. The author threatened the victims and stole personal objects and amounts of money to exchange for drugs. The preventive arrest took place in the São Lázaro neighborhood, South Zone of Manaus.

The Amazonas Civil Police stated that the protective measures have been valid since March 2024 and the author frequently failed to comply with court orders.

“The victims reported that he frequently invaded their homes, threatening them and stealing personal objects and amounts of money to exchange for drugs”, explained delegate Kelene Passos, head of the Specialized Police Station for Crimes against Women (DECCM) South/ West.

The delegate also reported that the man was arrested when he was going to the victims’ house in order to commit the crime again.

He will be held liable for non-compliance with a protective measure and will be at the disposal of the Court.
