According to the Municipal Health Department (SMS), the vaccine will be available:

  • in basic health units (UBS) – Monday to Friday, 8am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm;
  • at extra points (Midway Mall and Partage Norte Shopping) – Monday to Friday, from 1pm to 8pm, and on Saturdays, from 3pm to 8pm.

The vaccine applied is trivalent, capable of protecting against the main flu viruses circulating in Brazil.

Immunization against influenza for priority groups began on March 14 in the capital of Rio Grande do Norte. “Following a note released by the Ministry of Health, all age groups can now receive immunization”, explained the head of the Center for Vaccine Preventable Diseases (NAI) at SMS, Veruska Ramos.

“We invite the entire population to attend one of the vaccination points and ensure protection against the disease.”

Flu vaccination is expanded to everyone over six months of age

The secretariat also reinforced that people who belong to priority groups can also continue to look for places to take the vaccine.

According to SMS, 49,584 people had received the vaccine dose by April 29th in Natal. This number represents around 17% of the priority public that could receive immunization by that date.
