An offensive by the Police Command of Intensive and Ostensive Actions Rounds (CPRaio) of the Military Police of Ceará (PMCE) seized, this Saturday (30), eight shotguns in the municipality of Paraipaba, in the Integrated Security Area 23 (AIS 23) of the State. The firearms were seized on vacant land in the town of Sítio Rosário and presented to a unit of the Civil Police of the State of Ceará (PCCE).
The police force was patrolling the municipality when, around 11pm, it was informed about the presence of armed individuals in the district of Sítio Rosário. Immediately, the police officers went to the indicated location and, after carrying out a sweep of the area, found five homemade 12-gauge shotguns, three homemade 22-gauge shotguns and eight pieces of ammunition of both calibers in a vacant lot.
In light of this fact, the seized weapons and ammunition were presented at the Caucaia Metropolitan Police Station. The on-duty unit of the Civil Police of the State of Ceará (PCCE) prepared a Police Report in order to investigate possible owners of the illicit material. The case was transferred and the investigation is now carried out by the Paraipaba Municipal Police Station, the PCCE unit responsible for the area.
