Man arrested for domestic violence in Vicente de Carvalho | Rio de Janeiro

Rio – Police officers from the 27th DP (Vicente de Carvalho) arrested, this Tuesday (30), Nelson Eduardo for domestic violence, in Vicente de Carvalho, in the North Zone. He attacked his partner and tried to choke her. Furthermore, he cut the victim’s hair and dragged him across the floor.

Neighbors stated that the attacks had been happening since the previous morning and that they are recurring. As a result, the couple lost custody of their youngest child.

The victim stated that she did not ask for help, but, according to police, she was in shock and disoriented. They identified that her hair had been recently cut, in a grotesque way, as indicated in the complaint.

According to the agents, at the time of the approach, Nelson had a strong breath of alcohol and stated that his partner spent the day screaming because she had lost her dental prosthesis.

The couple was taken to the police station, where the victim, far from the man’s presence, confirmed the attacks and had already requested urgent protective measures.

Nelson was arrested and will face charges of bodily harm, threats and psychological violence. He was sent to the prison system.
