2nd death caused by rain confirmed in Rio Grande do Sul
By early Tuesday afternoon, management had already been informed that caravans from Santa Maria, Horizontina, Tucunduva, Passo Fundo, Rio Pardo, Santa Cruz, Venâncio Aires and Santa Cruz had canceled their trip. The number could still increase if the rain persists and brings complications to more highways.
Juventude itself has already had its logistics affected. The delegation was scheduled to leave early this Tuesday afternoon, but had to postpone the trip. The club is awaiting approval from the Federal Highway Police (PRF) to travel from Caxias do Sul to Porto Alegre and has already informed the CBF about what happened.
According to the state Civil Defense, there are 127 people in public shelters (homeless) and another 107 homeless (who left their homes and sought shelter in the homes of relatives and friends). Around 135 thousand people are without electricity.
Despite the scenario, the match remains scheduled. Inter expects an audience of 35 thousand people. The duel with Juventude will take place at 9:30 pm this Wednesday at Beira-Rio in a game valid for the third phase of the Copa do Brasil.
