The son of the elderly Edson Theodorio da Silva, aged 71, killed during a robbery in Coelho Neto, in the North Zone of Rio, stated that the bandits killed his father without announcing that it was a robbery.
“My father was going to buy a gift for his grandson. The family decided to go together. When they returned to the house, they were approached by four motorcycles, two in front and two behind. They only heard the shot. The shot went through my father’s heart”, said Thiago Theodorio.
Edson’s body was buried, this Monday (1st), in the Irajá Cemetery, amid strong commotion and much anger on the part of his family.
Investigators from the Capital Homicide Police are trying to identify the criminals who killed the retiree.
Edson was taken to the Albert Schweitzer Municipal Hospital, in Realengo, in the West Zone, but he did not survive his injuries. He arrived at the unit dead.
Security camera footage is being analyzed. There is still no information about the perpetrators of the shooting that killed the retiree.
