The Volkswagen Polo and Fiat Strada, vehicles that ended 2023 on a high, continue to lead the lists of best-selling new cars in Alagoas during the first quarter of 2024.
The data was confirmed to Folha de Alagoas by the National Federation of Motor Vehicle Distribution (Fenabrave). Together, these vehicles sold 600 units in three months, 301 from the Polo and 299 from the Strada. They were at the top both in January, February and March.
The Chevrolet Tracker and Toyota Hilux also appear prominently in Alagoas, each model selling 179 units in the period. In the light commercial sector, Volkswagen Saveiro and Fiat Toro each sold 129 cars.
The Chevrolet Onix, which has already led sales in previous years, came in fifth place overall, with 165 units. Another one that has been falling is the Hyundai HB20, which is no longer on the list of 10 most popular. Among the most popular, it lost its position even to the Fiat Argo.
Conversely, other cars that had interesting numbers at the beginning of the year were the Jeep Compass, Nissan Kicks, Hyundai Creta and Toyota Corolla Cross. With a newly opened dealership, BYD finally appears in the ranking of the 20 best sellers, with the Dolphin model having been purchased 108 times.
