Promoted to the Portuguesa main team, coach Alan Dotti continues his planning in search of reinforcements for the Copa Paulista. Last Sunday (31), the commander was present at the Rei Pelé stadium, which hosted the first game of the Copa Alagoas finals, between CSA and Penedense. The coach followed the duel, with the aim of analyzing and capturing possible reinforcements for Lusa in the São Paulo tournament.
The clash ended in a 1-1 draw. The Copa Alagoas decision takes place this Wednesday, at 8pm, at the Alfredo Leahy stadium.
At the beginning of this year, the commander had already traveled to the Northeast, in order to analyze young athletes to join the red and green under-20 team. Now in the main team, the coach, as well as assistant Cesar Michelon, has been following lower division games in São Paulo and also other state games, looking for athletes who can reinforce Lusa in the second semester.
The official announcement of the duo in the main team should be made in the next few days. The commander had good numbers in recent years at the head of the Lusitanian U20 team, in which he reached the semi-finals of the Paulista Championship in 2022, in addition to reaching the quarter-finals the following year.
Furthermore, Alan Dotti also had good numbers in the São Paulo Junior Football Cup. This season, the team was eliminated by runner-up Cruzeiro, in the third phase.
In turn, Portuguesa acted quickly and has also defined who will take over the U20 team in the state competition. The new coach is Thiago Constância, who was in the main team of Flamengo de Guarulhos. The Under-20 commander has already been in charge of the last three training games, against Corinthians, RB Bragantino and Mauá FC.
