On Monday night (29), at Residencial Brisa do Lago, in Arapiraca, a man was detained by authorities carrying a simulated firearm. According to information provided by the Public Security Secretariat (SSP/AL), the incident occurred when military police officers noticed the suspicious attitude of the driver of a red Honda Bros, who tried to escape upon noticing the arrival of a team from the 3rd PM Battalion.
The suspect tried to evade the approach by jumping from the moving motorcycle, falling from the vehicle. Even after the fall, he still tried to seek refuge in a nearby residence, but was caught by the police.
The man’s resistance required the use of handcuffs to guarantee the safety of the police team and his own. During the search, a simulacrum of a firearm was found in his possession, which led the police officers to take him to the Arapiraca Civil Police Center for the necessary legal measures.
Furthermore, the motorcycle used by the suspect was taken to the yard of the State Department of Traffic (Detran), as the driver did not have a license and had disobeyed the stop order issued by the garrison.
