A 49-year-old woman, injured by gunfire in front of her 13-year-old daughter in Parque Lageado, in Campo Grande, died this Monday (29). The victim, identified as Marilete Soares, was hospitalized at Santa Casa and did not survive the severity of her injuries.
The victim’s daughter, just 13 years old, was the main witness to the crime. To the police, she explained that she was walking with her mother along Maria Del Horno Samper Street, on Sunday night (28), when two men approached her on a motorcycle and shot.
According to the girl, the two were wearing masks, helmets and black clothes; They didn’t say anything, they just shot her mother and ran away. The shots hit the victim’s back, buttocks and thigh. At the hospital, she underwent surgery and had a projectile removed from her body, but she did not survive the injuries.
The case is now being investigated as “homicide qualified by treason, by ambush, or by means of dissimulation or other means that make it difficult or impossible to defend the offended local”.
According to the Civil Police, investigation teams are searching for the suspects.
