In the last 24 hours, the State of Alagoas recorded three cases of violence against women. Among them, two occurred in the municipalities of Barra de Santo Antônio and Marechal Deodoro, both located in the Metropolitan Region of Maceió. Furthermore, another case was registered in Girau do Ponciano, in Agreste Alagoas.
In relation to the case that occurred in Barra de Santo Antônio, the victim’s ex-husband was threatening to kill her with a knife. The woman had cuts and bruises and was taken to medical care at the 24-hour PAM in the region. When carrying out patrols nearby, the author was located and the parties were taken to the Flagrant Center, where the author was charged and arrested for threatening and causing bodily harm.
In another case that occurred in the Rural Zone of Marechal Deodoro, the police were called by members of the public who claimed that a woman was being attacked by her husband. A police officer went to the scene and the attacker reported that it was just an argument between husband and wife.
The police officers demanded the presence of the victim, who reported that she was threatened and, in addition, said that the accused had grabbed her arm and thrown her against the wall, and her children had to intervene to prevent something more serious from happening.
The eldest son reported that his father had attacked his mother and broken the door of the house. In view of the facts, the parties were taken to the Flagrant Center where he was charged with the crime of domestic violence against women.
Violence in the Agreste of Alagoas
Another case was registered in the municipality of Girau do Ponciano, located in Agreste Alagoano. The victim called the police and reported that she was drinking alcohol with her ex-brother-in-law, when he verbally and physically attacked her, for no apparent reason. According to police information, the victim had bruises caused by the perpetrator with a table knife.
After the military arrived at the scene, the perpetrator of the attack had already fled to an unknown destination. The victim was instructed to appear at the city’s Flagrant Center to prepare a Police Report (BO).
