Last month, we saw journalist Jeff Grubb say that Sony could hold a PlayStation Showcase in May. Now Grubb reinforced this possibility during an interview on Giant Bombcastsaying that the event could take place at any time, as it is already May.
This possibility aligns with what was said by John Harker on the ResetEra forum in April, who stated that PlayStation should really present new games in May this year.
During the interview, Grubb said:
The PlayStation Showcase will apparently take place later this month. But whether it’s next week or the week after that, I honestly don’t know. It might be the end of the month, but I won’t be surprised if it actually happens next week, it could happen at any time.

Unfortunately, we still don’t know what Sony will present at the event, but it will certainly reveal new games for the PlayStation 5, more information about Bungie’s Marathon game and perhaps even new devices, as happened in 2023 with the announcement of PlayStation Portal and PS Buds.
Additionally, the event will mark one year since the announcement of “Metal Gear Solid 3 – Snake Eater Remake”, “Alan Wake 2”, the gameplay of “Marvel’s Spider-Man 2” and “HellDivers 2”, so it’s possible we’ll see more information about new exclusives in the coming weeks.
