The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) issued a potential danger alert due to intense rain in 63 municipalities in Rio Grande do Norte. The warning is valid from Friday morning (26) until 10 am on Saturday (27).
According to the yellow alert, the forecast is for rain with a volume of between 20 and 30 millimeters per hour or up to 50 millimeters per day, in addition to intense winds of up to 60 km per hour.
Also according to Inmet, the climate scenario can cause a low risk of electricity cuts, falling tree branches, flooding and electrical discharges.
In case of gusts of wind, Inmet advises the population not to take shelter under trees, due to the slight risk of falling and electrical discharges. Other guidelines are: do not park vehicles near transmission towers and advertising signs and avoid using electronic devices plugged in.
