Alma Bohadana died in Rio de Janeiro
The Rio de Janeiro Homicide Police made progress in investigations related to the death of Alma Bohadana, a 22-year-old Israeli tourist who fell from a wall in Santa Tereza. Last Tuesday (7), three people were interviewed in the investigation that seeks to clarify the case.
Alma’s friend, Dan Hen, who was with her at the time of the incident, reported to the police that the young woman tried to escape an alleged approach from a red car, resulting in her falling 15 meters.
Investigators emphasized that all possibilities are being considered, despite witness statements.
According to Dan, they were returning from a trail to Christ the Redeemer when they were approached by the occupants of the red vehicle.
He mentioned that the men in the car asked for Alma’s belongings, and when she tried to get away from the situation, she lost her balance and fell over the protective wall. The individuals in the car fled immediately after the incident.
Dan explained to authorities that after the fall, he desperately searched for Alma, but due to the darkness and dense vegetation, it took him a while to find her. When he finally located her, Alma was alive, but crying in pain.
The Fire Department was called to help her, but when they arrived, Alma had already passed away.
Two other witnesses confirmed Dan’s account, specifically about his quick action to help Alma after the accident.
The young tourist was in Rio de Janeiro to watch Madonna’s show and had decided to extend her stay in Brazil. Dan and Alma met during that week, both traveling alone around the city.
The Israeli Consulate accompanied those involved at the police station, but none of them wanted to speak publicly. The Legal Medical Institute released Alma’s body after legal procedures.
