The 17-year-old teenager, Yan Pablo Souza Ganon, known as Gabigol, born in Sena Madureira, took an important step in his career as a football player. He was invited to play for the Acre club Galvez, in the capital, Rio Branco.

Yan, who lived in the Cristo Libertador neighborhood, with his mother, left his family behind and came to live in the capital of Acre, at the club’s training center. Passionate about the sport since he was a child, he tells a little about his story.

“This dream started when I was little and I always played on football fields with adults. Sometimes they wouldn’t let me because I was small, but they saw that I played well, scoring goals, so they started letting me play with them. At school, I was always left out of the game schedules, so I started training and started playing at the Flamengo football school, in Sena Madureira”, he reveals.

The teenager began to stand out for his talent and participated in some championships, including the Acre championship. In his municipality, he played for the Sena Madureira team, and it was in a football match against Galvez himself that he caught the attention of the Acre club, leading to the invitation to be part of the team’s base. Last Tuesday (7) he arrived in Rio Branco to join the cast.

“I’m very happy because when we leave our city to play for another team, we have a huge responsibility. We don’t just take the name of the person, but of a municipality. I’m here to go up and represent my city, which is Sena Madureira”, he highlights.

Despite the new moment he is experiencing, which will allow him to grow professionally, Yan says that there are many difficulties in leaving his city, especially when it comes to financial issues. In Rio Branco he has accommodation and food paid for by the club, however, there are other needs that are important for his stay in the capital.

“When we are from the countryside, everything is more difficult. Here in Rio Branco, for example, I don’t have shoes to warm up and I don’t have football boots. I use it on loan,” she says.

Yan also says that even in the midst of the difficulties he faced, since he was a child he always had the support of his mother to follow his football dream. For Galvez, this season he competes in the Acre under-17 championship.
