City Hall opens registrations for more than 1,200 places in free courses through the Rio On Platform | Jobs & Business

The Rio On Platform is open for registration for more than 1,200 places in free online courses in the areas of Innovative Entrepreneurship, Communication, Basic and Applied Technology. Launched in 2023 by the Municipal Department of Science and Technology, in partnership with Senac RJ, the platform provides content aimed at digital literacy and insertion into the job market.

To register, you must be a resident of the city of Rio and be over 16 years old. Classes are online, lasting from 8 to 60 hours and aim to develop skills aimed at the 21st century.

“The courses offered are a great opportunity for those who want to follow new digital paths, expand their professional journey or even boost their business. The objective of the classes is to increase job and income possibilities, qualifying more professionals”, said Thereza Paiva, Municipal Secretary of Science and Technology.

The available courses are: UX Design: Applying User Experience to Projects; PHP programming; Introduction to Webdesign with HTML and CSS; Content Marketing: Advanced Strategies that Engage and Sell; Game Design: Beginner Level, Database Development, Excel; Graphic Design: Creating My First Job; Financial education; Service Design: Innovation and Processes; Design Thinking and Creative Processes; and Fundamentals for Custom Furniture Design.

Rio On is the first free digital learning platform from Rio de Janeiro City Hall. Along with the nine Knowledge Ships, located in the North and West zones of the city, Rio On is part of the technological belt in the city focused on digital inclusion.
