The Civil Police of Santa Catarina reached a historic milestone with 80% of homicides solved. Monitoring shows that, until April 22, homicide crimes had a resolution of 80%, which demonstrates a significant increase in productivity. “Crimes happen and they are not forgotten. They are being clarified. We intended to reach a target, in 2024, of 75 or 77%, which are the rates for Canada and Australia, but this percentage was reached last year”, highlighted the general delegate of the PCSC, Ulisses Gabriel.

The information is part of the analysis of statistical data released this Wednesday, 23, by the Civil Police Intelligence Directorate. The data analyzed refers to the period from January 1st to April 22nd, 2024, compared to the same period last year.
