Accident involving a truck and two cars mobilizes firefighters in SC

An accident involving a truck and two passenger cars mobilized firefighters on BR-116, KM-168, in Ponte Alta do Norte (SC). According to information from the Fire Department, the incident occurred around 12:30 pm this Sunday (05).

The vehicles involved were a Fiat/Uno, a Chevrolet/Celta and a Volvo FH 540 truck.

The driver of the Uno vehicle, with Mercosul license plate, a 66-year-old man, was conscious and oriented, but complained of chest pain in the area where the seat belt passes. He had no visible fractures or injuries. He was removed from the vehicle and immobilized on a rigid stretcher, before being taken to Curitibanos Hospital by the SAMU team. The ride, a 65-year-old woman, was already being attended to by the ARTERIS dealership team.

In the other passenger vehicle involved, a Celta with Mercosul license plate, the driver, an 18-year-old man, had already been attended to and driven by the ARTERIS dealership team. Already in the cargo vehicle, a Volvo FH 540, the driver, whose age was not informed, remained at the scene. The Curitibanos Emergency Train and SAMU were present at the incident.

The site was under the care of the Federal Highway Police and the ARTERIS Concessionaire.
