ALAGOAS – Rotam carries out successful operations in the capital and metropolitan region, resulting in the seizure of weapons, drugs and radio communicators

Last Tuesday (07), Rotam (Rondas Ostensivas Táticas Metropolitanas) carried out two operations that resulted in the seizure of weapons, drugs and radio communicators in the capital of Alagoas and the metropolitan region. Rotam military personnel were instrumental in the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of illicit items in the cities of Maceió and Rio Largo.

In Maceió, during patrols in the Jacintinho neighborhood, police officers spotted a man acting suspiciously with a backpack. When trying to escape the police approach, he was captured and searched, being found with 30 portions of marijuana and 43 bags of cocaine. In addition to the drugs, three cell phones and two radio communicators were found in the suspect’s possession.

In Rio Largo, Rotam’s action resulted in the arrest of a man who was carrying a 38 caliber revolver. After receiving reports that an individual was threatening residents with a firearm in the Tabuleiro do Pinto neighborhood, Rotam teams carried out searches and managed to Locate the suspect with the gun in his waistband. He was taken to the police station along with the seized weapon for legal proceedings.

Rotam’s operations demonstrate the commitment and efficiency of the military police in combating drug and weapons trafficking, ensuring the safety and protection of the population. The joint action resulted in the removal from circulation of illicit materials that could be used to commit crimes in the capital and metropolitan region of Maceió. The military police continue to act intensively to curb the actions of criminals and maintain public order in the region.
