Protective measures will reinforce security during the application of the tests of the Unified National Competition, the so-called Enem of competitions, scheduled for May 5th. These are rules that prohibit candidates from leaving with a question booklet or answer sheet notes, in addition to fingerprint collection and handwriting examination before taking the exam.
With the adoption of the measures, the answer card itself will contain the candidate’s identification, where, in addition to the selections marked during the exam, a sentence copied by the competitor will also be recorded in his own handwriting and his fingerprint.
Metal and electronic equipment detectors will also be installed at the entrances to the test locations and cell phones will be turned off and sealed during the exam. A task force will also act, with the participation of the National Public Security Secretariat, the Federal and Highway Police, the Brazilian Intelligence Agency, the National Force and the State Public Security Secretariats.
“The process involves a strong security scheme, from the production and delivery of tests to checking the candidate’s identity”, explains general coordinator of logistics for the selection process, Alexandre Retamal.
According to the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services, the objective is to avoid fraud in the selection process, mainly through the use of electronic points. This would be the main method used by criminal organizations that operate in selection processes.
The objective tests of general knowledge will be administered in the morning, with the gates opening at 7:30 am, when there will also be an essay question for the higher-level blocks and an essay for the secondary level. In the afternoon, the gates will open at 1pm for the specific knowledge tests for the higher-level blocks and a new round of general knowledge for the middle-level block.
On the same day of the test, after the end of the two exam periods, the test booklets will be published on the site of the Ministry of Management.
