The Health Department of the Federal District (SES-DF) was present at the inaugural class of the course promoted by the Federal Court of Auditors (TCU), “Efficiency in Health Care Networks”. “Delivering comprehensive, effective and continuous care requires an entire organizing arrangement between the network, including digital health, pharmacy and the regulatory complex, for example”, explained the deputy head of the Health Care Networks Advisory (Aras) , Carolina Cesar.

Also highlighting this integration, TCU minister Antônio Augusto Anastasia believes that careful management of resources, in search of good efficiency, is important for good performance. “Health is an area that needs to be given extra attention, because it deals with what is most valuable: life. Innovation in public management is the most appropriate solution for effectiveness and efficiency in assistance.”

The result of a partnership with the National Council of Health Secretaries (Conass) and the doctor and consultant specialized in the subject Welfane Cordeiro Júnior, the course is part of the Health Efficiency Project, launched in 2019 with the aim of improving the efficiency of healthcare services. Changes

In the inaugural class, one of the topics mentioned was network planning. According to the president of Conass, Fábio Baccheretti Vitor, this is a change in structure and processes. “The training comes with the aim of looking at planning as something really structuring. What we are dealing with is exactly the change and restructuring of systems,” he said.

Within the scope of SES-DF, planning began in the Eastern Region, which encompasses Paranoá, São Sebastião, Itapoã and Jardins Mangueiral. The process took as its starting point the diabetes and hypertension care line, advancing to the maternal and child area. The Diabetes and Hypertension Care Center (Cadh) is one of the results of the integration.

In the Central-South Region – Guará, Estrutural/SCIA, Candangolândia, Núcleo Bandeirante, Riacho Fundo I and II and Parkway -, the planning resulted in the Specialized Center for Diabetes, Hypertension and Heart Failure (Cedhic). Since 2019, work has been aimed at personalizing and optimizing care for chronic patients.
