The Civil Police served the preventive arrest warrants (for an indefinite period) against them. The warrants against the duo, identified as the perpetrators of the double homicide, were ordered by the Court following a request from delegate Anna Paula Marien, responsible for the investigations.
Inês and Bruno were taken to the Peixoto de Azevedo Police Station, where they will be questioned later this Tuesday (23).
Arrests occurred after the family’s lawyer contacted the Civil Police. The defender stated that the suspects intended to surrender and asked the police to accompany her to the farm where mother and son were to execute the warrants and take them to the police station.
“They [mãe e filho] They surrendered and there was no resistance”, said the delegate. “Investigations continue so that all due diligence is carried out and all information is gathered and forwarded to the Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Judiciary.” The prisoners are identified by the Civil Police as responsible for the two homicides, two attempted homicides and criminal association.
The firearms and a Ford Ranger pickup truck used in the crime were not found on the farm.
To the UOL, lawyer Angelita Kemper, defender of Inês and Bruno, stated that the pair had been available to the courts since Monday (22), through the defense, with a document registered in the case file. The defender also informed that she will not comment on the case.
