Security update generates temporary change in consultation and payment of IPVA 2024 in Rio Grande do Sul

Sefaz (Secretariat of Finance), through RE (State Revenue), is carrying out a planned update on the IPVA website and application in Rio Grande do Sul. The action focuses on increasing user security, avoiding possible scams .

For this reason, the DetranRS website is currently being used, using gov.br login authentication. Through the website, it is possible to generate the QR Code to pay in cash or pay in installments via Pix for the tax, as well as the licensing fee and fines. In addition, it is possible to consult and pay off IPVA from previous years.

Pix is ​​available in more than 760 institutions and is used both by those who have subscribed to the installment plan and by those who want to pay in a single installment. People who do not have a gov.br login must register or look for an accredited network so that they can pay the tax: Banrisul, Bradesco (account holders only), Sicredi, Sicoob, Banco do Brasil and Caixa Econômica Federal lottery outlets.

Taxpayers who are paying the tax in stages through Pix need to generate a new QR Code every month to pay the installment. To maintain the installment plan, you must make payments within the stipulated deadlines.

The IPVA website and application are scheduled to return to normal operation on Monday (08) and with the new requirement for authentication via the gov.br login to use its services.

The new version of the website and application will be available before the license plate tax expires, which occurs from the penultimate week of April, from the 24th to the 30th, according to the schedule established by the State Revenue Service. The taxpayer who pays the tax this month will not have the advance discount, but will receive the Bom Driver and Bom Cidadão reductions until the license plate’s expiration date, if they are entitled to the benefits.

To check the IPVA value or generate the QR Code, you must access the DetranRS website, using the gov.br login authentication. The State government does not send IPVA collection links or invoices. It is also important that drivers pay attention to the Pix beneficiary.
