The announcement of the integration of two important mineral segments, metallic and non-metallic, was made on the morning of this Wednesday, 3rd, by the president of the Tocantins Mining Industries Union (Sindmeto), Wagno Milhomem, during a meeting of the entity that It was attended by representatives from the Tocantins Mining Agency (Ameto), State Government, Federal University of Tocantins (UFT), Federation of Industries (FIETO), Academia Tocantinense do Agribusiness and businesspeople from the sector. On the occasion, the National Service for Industrial Learning (SENAI) and the Social Service for Industry (SESI) presented their service portfolios to the mining companies present.

“Before, the union only represented the non-metallic segment, now the metallic segment becomes part of it and this is the first meeting of this important integration for the mining sector in Tocantins. From now on, the union becomes even stronger and has more responsibility to exercise its representation”, highlights Milhomem.

For the class leader, the integration of the non-metallic and metallic segments represents a new moment in the history of the union, in addition to reinforcing the idea of ​​creating the State Mining Plan, an old aspiration of the entity that for its implementation must also count on the support from Ameto, FIETO and the State Government, through its bodies linked to the sector. “With this, Tocantins will become more attractive for investments in the mining sector, which has great potential”, he adds.
