Helenedja Oliveira, accused of illegally practicing medicine and who called herself a specialist in pre-surgical weight loss, obesity treatment and metabolic oncology, deceived the Unimed health plan, which accepted her fake CRM and paid for 25 exams. The information was revealed by the UOL portal.
Helenedja does not have a degree in medicine, but worked as a nutritionist at Harmony Medical Center, in Maceió. The fake professional, located in the upscale area of the capital of Alagoas, charged R$450 per consultation without health insurance, in addition to being under investigation on suspicion of embezzlement against patients.
Yesterday, the 29th, delegate Luci Mônica, from the 2nd District of the Capital, revealed that the Federal Council of Medicine, after a new consultation, found no record of the fake doctor charged with illegally practicing medicine.
The woman was arrested in Maceió, in the Jatiúca neighborhood, on the 10th of this month and claimed to have graduated from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, however, the institution also denied having records of her as a student.
The initial complaint was made by the Regional Council of Medicine of Alagoas. After interrogation, Helenadja was indicted for illegally practicing medicine by the Civil Police of Alagoas.
The woman used a false CRM registration number and pretended to be a nutrition specialist. After signing a Detailed Statement of Occurrence, she was released and will be released.
