Dois A Incorporações and Perkins + Will have signed a partnership to work on two projects in Rio Grande do Norte, in the capital and in Pipa, in the city of Tibau do Sul. The partnership, according to the companies, is a milestone in the real estate sector in the Northeast and promises to transform lives, aligning points in the civil construction and architecture segments. The partnership aims to raise the standard and future of housing and design in RN. These will be Perkins+Will’s first two projects in the Northeast. The multinational is considered the second best architecture and design office in the world and the largest in Latin America. Founded in 1935, it is present in more than 30 countries.

Sérgio Azevedo, CEO of Dois A Incorporações, highlights the partnership with Perkins+Will as a new milestone for the real estate market in the Northeast. “This agreement not only consolidates Natal as a growing hub of urban innovation, but also reflects our unwavering commitment to architectural excellence and the complete satisfaction of our customers. We are defining the future of housing and design in our region, raising standards and exceeding expectations,” he says.

Dois A’s relationship with Perkins + Will is long-standing, according to Douglas Tolaine, architect, creative director and senior design at the company. He highlights that “the relationship was long” before signing the union with the developer from Rio Grande do Norte. For him, the idea of being able to improve people’s lives through this relationship was essential to the partnership. The city’s new Master Plan also contributed, he says. “The change in the Master Plan provides this opportunity, but I think it has a lot to do with people’s relationships. Architecture is a relationship of trust, so understanding how much we could improve people’s lives through this relationship was a very important point,” he says.

According to the architect, the partnership will make it possible to identify the capital’s strongest potential. “I think we have a vision of seeing potential that is normally left aside. We come with this fresher perspective, with this situation of being able to identify very strong points that sometimes we overlook and start to bring only imported things. We bring a lot of technology because we are associated with a group of more than 2,700 professionals, speaking 14 languages and present in 32 offices around the world”, he comments.

In an interview with Jornal da Manhã, from Jovem Pan News Natal, Tolaine commented on the Ribeira neighborhood, in Natal. According to him, the area’s revitalization project must encompass housing aspects, in the same context that the Chamber of Store Managers (CDL/Natal) proposes to City Hall, as TRIBUNA DO NORTE showed in last weekend’s edition. “We have a pleasant project scale, good width in streets, buildings, public transport, views, in other words, it has a very important strategic position. It’s a matter of bringing investment, but it needs to bring life. There is no point in a neighborhood having a single use”, points out the professional.
