A Department of Education and Sports (SEE-PE) You have until April 30th to provide clarifications about the public competition for Music and Special Education teachers. The request was made by Public Ministry of Pernambuco (MPPE)through the Capital Education Defense Prosecutor, Salomão Ismail Filho.
Public managers must respond to the MPPE about the current number of Music teacher positions and how many need to be created by law to accommodate those approved in the competition; How is the appointment process going? 53 Special Education professionals; the measures adopted to appoint those approved for the position of Music teacher, still in 2024; and present a schedule for the appointment of those approved for the two categories.
Furthermore, the MPPE asked the SEE to comment on the allegation made by some candidates that there are Music teachers working in the state education system as “self-employed”, without a permanent contract or temporary contract in force.
VIRTUAL AUDENCE
On March 19, the MPPE received in a virtual meeting, members of the State Department of Education and Sports and candidates approved in the public competition for Music and Special Education teachers.
Candidates Mikaely Panta and Cleydson Luan stated that the State of Pernambuco maintains temporary employees working in each of the functions offered by the competition, being 121 contracts for Libras interpreter, 35 for braillist It is 60 for Music teachers. In fact, according to what they reported, there are also teachers “autonomous”who would be working in the network without a permanent contract or temporary contract.
During the meeting, the Executive Secretary of People Management at SEE, Rafaela Ribeiro, explained that the department is in contact with the State Administration Secretariat (SAD) in order to carry out the appointment of 53 candidates for Special Education. In the case of music teachers, there is no prediction because, according to her, despite the competition offering a certain number of vacancies, some positions would not have been created by law.
The General Manager of People Management at SEE, José Alysson Pereira, informed that the competition notice opened 101 vacancies for the position of Music teacher, 29 vacancies for Braillist teacher and 25 vacancies for Libras interpreter teacher. However, as the matter is still under debate with SAD, he was unable to say how many appointments could occur in 2024.
