SENAI-PE signs technical cooperation agreement with Public Defender’s Office of the State of Pernambuco – Competitions and Jobs

SENAI-PE signed a technical cooperation agreement with Public Defender’s Office of the State of Pernambuco (DPPE) to offer 500 vacancies in free professional training courses in the areas of logistics, automotive, food and electronics. The document was signed yesterday (29) at DPPE headquarters and the agreement is valid for two years.

The preferred target audience is women victims of domestic violence, homeless people and people deprived of liberty who are being served by the public defender’s office. Participants will be selected and nominated by DPPE and classes will be held in person. Students will earn a SENAI certificate when they complete the courses, as long as they obtain a minimum frequency of 75% of the expected workload and pass a minimum of 70 points in the final exams for each subject that makes up each qualification.

According to the regional director of SENAI-PE, Camila Barreto, the collaboration between the two institutions strengthens their capabilities and can serve as an example for other states. “SENAI already offers free legal assistance, which serves low-income people and, through this partnership with DPPE, we will be able to provide greater assistance so that women have better opportunities in the industry. And this gender equality in the job market is one of the objectives outlined by the UN Global Compact, of which SENAI-PE has been a signatory since last year”.

DPPE’s general public defender, Henrique Seixas, in turn, considers the signing of the agreement an important step towards the inclusion of people in vulnerable situations in the job market. “The important thing about our work is to benefit those who need it most. Referring these people to professional qualifications is very important and a more comprehensive initiative by the defender’s office. I also thank my colleagues at DPPE, who have been wearing their shirts and thinking about actions to serve these citizens.”

Who also celebrates the partnership is the director of education at SENAI-PE, Ana Dias. “This action together with DPPE strengthens actions for audiences that need greater attention in the field of professional qualification. SENAI-PE, with its expertise, will support these people, especially women victims of violence, to enable employability and autonomy, even as entrepreneurs, providing social and economic development.”
