You’ve noticed subtle changes to the WhatsApp interface recently. Does the color palette look different? The country’s most popular messaging app has undergone a visual update.
This new aesthetic was not widely publicized by Meta or the WhatsApp team. However, it is natural for users to notice changes when accessing an application so frequently in their routines.
Visual changes also vary depending on the device used. It seems that Android users were the most affected. The navigation bar, which was previously green with white icons, now has a white background with green icons. This design is in line with what iPhone (iOS) users were already used to.
Another curiosity is the addition of buttons just below the WhatsApp brand on Android with a filter that promises to make people’s lives easier. It is now possible to choose between seeing all messages, only unread messages or messages in groups with other users.
