The deadline for drivers of vehicles registered in Espírito Santo to pay the single quota of the Motor Vehicle Property Tax (IPVA) expires in April. For vehicle owners who choose to pay the tax in installments, the first installment is also due this month.

According to the Espírito Santo State Traffic Department (Detran|ES), drivers who pay the IPVA in a single installment will have a 15% discount. For those who choose to pay in installments, the tax can be divided into up to six installments. Payment dates are defined according to the vehicle’s final license plate number and can be done via Pix.

The calendar released by Detran|ES shows that the due date for the first installment and the single quota (for drivers who choose to pay the tax at once) expires next Tuesday (09), for vehicle owners with plates ending in 1-2.

– Access the official Detran|ES website, detran.es.gov.br

– Enter the ‘Vehicle Consultation’ service or the ticket issuance icons available in the ‘Vehicles’ area;

– Enter the vehicle’s license plate number and Renavam number;

– Select the debts you want to pay;

– The DUA will come with payment options via Pix and barcode, and the possibility of generating the PDF of the invoice;

– To pay via Pix, use your bank or payment institution’s app to read the QR Code or click “Copy” to use the “Pix Copia e Paste” functionality;

– To pay with the barcode, scan the barcode or click on “Copy” to make payment with the numeric code at the bank branches indicated in the DUA and lottery outlets, exclusively through the receipt channels provided by them;

– In your financial application, ensure that the payment is directed to the ‘Espirito Santo State Transit Department – ​​Bco Banestes SA’;

– After payment, a confirmation message will be displayed.

Scam alert

A new feature for this year is that both the IPVA and the vehicle licensing can be paid through Pix.

Detran|ES also warns that vehicle owners do not fall victim to scams related to the payment of IPVA, licensing and fines. According to the agency, criminals are using fake pages with the interface of State Traffic Department websites to deceive citizens who seek to pay off their vehicle debt in the State. – Do not trust sponsored websites or websites that offer discounts and advantages;
