Throughout the negotiations, Verdão received offers from seven companies, and the deadline for submitting proposals ended in February. Adidas and Puma, current suppliers and with a contract until December, were the main options for what they presented.

In favor of Adidas, mainly the production and distribution capacity weighed, in addition to the values and the possibility of generating greater revenue from product royalties. The current contract with Puma yields R$42 million, and the company has offered to cover the competitor.

Both Palmeiras and Puma have not commented on the matter so far. There have been disagreements between the parties, but the relationship, which began in 2019, is currently peaceful.
