The athlete from Sociedade Recreativa Mampituba/FME Criciúma/Radar/Unesc, Carolina Gonçalves Machado, which acts as a central team, started this Monday, the 1st, to participate in the Talent Detection Laboratory of the Brazilian Under-17 Women’s Team. Training takes place until this Friday, the 5th, at the Volleyball Development Center in Saquarema (SP).

“For our team, it is a source of pride and joy to have an athlete on the Brazilian National Team’s radar. This Laboratory will be an opportunity for her to be observed by Brazil’s technical committee and, thus, be able to appear in a future call-up for the National Team”, explains the team’s physical trainer, Moacir Vepago Júnior.

For the director of Performance and Academia do Mampituba, Filippe Spillere Vieira, the call to the Laboratory is a form of recognition for the Mampituba/FME Criciúma/Radar/Unesc team. “We are very proud to have an athlete on the Brazilian National Team’s radar. This is proof that our performance project is already bearing good fruit thanks to the work of the entire technical committee and women’s volleyball athletes”, highlights Filippe.

The Sociedade Recreativa Mampituba women’s volleyball team is part of the athlete training project that the club maintains through an agreement, through notices, with the Brazilian Club Committee (CBC). As well as the Federal Government through the Ministry of Sports via the Sports Incentive Law.
