Ituano visited Blumenau on Thursday night and won the match in the Women’s Basketball League. At Ginásio Galegão, in Santa Catarina, the São Paulo club secured a positive result and frustrated the home fans by making it 74 to 60 on the scoreboard.
With the triumph in the South of Brazil, Ituano reached 11 points and took third place in the table. The away victory is the fifth in six games played. Blumenau, with eight, is 9th and has three wins and three defeats.
In the next round, Blumenau visits Catanduva on April 1st, at 6:30 pm (Brasília time), while Ituano hosts Corinthians the following day, at 6:30 pm (Brasília time).
Ituano’s highlight in the duel, Gabriela scored 21 points and valued the result away from home.
– We are happy with the victories, but we know there is still a lot to improve. Our team came to play in a certain way, but was unable to set the pace and we struggled. The important thing is to come out with victory. The collective work of the group is good. Let’s go back home and organize things – he said.
On the other side, Milena regretted the stumble and highlighted the team’s necessary improvements to continue the competition.
– They were better. We make a lot of mistakes and we have to work more on concentration, as our teacher asks. We fail at this. We need to improve to achieve victory – said the athlete.
