The sexual abuse was discovered by the victim’s father, after she was admitted to the UPA. He had access to the girl’s conversations with her friends on a messaging app, in which she says that she was raped by her stepfather since she was seven years old.

After the girl recovered from the suicide attempt, she confirmed to her father that she suffered abuse for four years.

The case was reported to the Santa Maria da Vitória police on Monday (22) and the victim was interviewed by a psychologist.

Upon being arrested inside the house this Friday, the suspect’s cell phone and tablet were seized.
